Welcome to the New Year

I thought it was about time I added to my Blog. My new year resolution is to try to add something more frequently. After all I keep a diary every day so I should be able to do it. With the holiday over, it is back to work to concentrate on re-writing my earlier unpublished book about my experiences of teaching in three continents which is now languishing in the bottom of a drawer. Now that I am a published author with fourteen published books to my credit, I am hoping that a publisher might be interested in this masterpiece!

I will keep you posted on its progress.

'Bye for now.

My Merry-Go-Round

Well I feel I am on one! Help! This week should be a little less frantic.

My one woman-show last week went very well and my audience laughed in all the right places!

Last Saturday I attended a 'Come and Sing' Messiah in the University of Chichester.  The concert in the evening was very enjoyable and there was quite a large audience, who did not stand up for the Hallelujah Chorus!

I am informed by the gentleman who is creating my website that it should be up and running before too long so I will let you know.

Goodbye for now.

5th November 2012

Here I am again - at last! Sorry it has been so long. Life has been a bit fraught recently - as usual.  Last weekend I went on a superb weekend course in the wilds of Worcestershire studying Macbeth - Shakespeare's version and that of Verdi. Fascinating!  I thought I knew Shapespeare's play quiet well but apparently not!  Now I can't wait to see a production of Verdi's Macbeth.

Tomorrow afternoon I am performing my one woman show, Spice of Life, so I must do some rehearsing today.

Currently I have two writing projects on the go so I try - not always successfully - to do some writing first thing in the morning. Early morning is my most productive time.  So if I get up late, I have lost valuable time!  Must get on now.

Join Me on My "Maiden Voyage"

             Hello

Having just done a course on blogging, I thought I would have a go.  My website is in the process of being created so it should be up and running soon.  I will let you know.  My blog will be connected to it.

I lead a very busy life as I am a writer, an English teacher and an actress.  I perform one-woman shows and also act with a local group.  I have written biography, local history, and books helping people to improve their English.  One of my books Improve Your Written English is now in its 5th edition and has been reprinted many times.

I also give talks and run workshops to help writers.  Recently I have been lecturing on cruise ships which has been very exciting.  I love travelling and cruising is an ideal way to see the world as you sail along in your floating hotel.

I think I should 'blog off' now (if that's the correct expression) as I am going out for lunch.  I do love being a 'a lady who lunches'.  I try to fit a social life into my busy schedule! The rest of the week is very busy so I may not blog again until next week.
